IMNST Wraps up Summer Camp 2016

Thirteen third-year college students from across the nation wrapped up their time as part of the “Micro-Nano Mystery Tour” Summer Camp hosted by the Pen-Tung SahInstitute of Micro-Nano Science and Technology, Xiamen University on July 19, 2016.
The camp is a five-day, hands-on experience for students who have shown an interest in micro-nanoscience and technology. The program gave the young minds an array of academic and fun activities, to provide them with a taste of graduate life.
Academic Enrichment
IMNST summer camp engage students with micro-nanoprofessionals of real-world experience and accomplishment, providing young minds with deeper insights and broader perspectives than just classroom work alone. Academic enrichment is a large part of camp activities. Participants attend lectures, seminars, hands-on demonstrations, and Micro-Nano Quiz “Who's Still Standing?”
Organized Excursion
In between first-hand interaction with professors, lectures, lab work, hands-on demonstrations and experiments, the students also get to tour our industrial partners, explore the culture of Xiamen University, and experience the beauty of Xiamen City.
Fruitful, Fun, and Free
The summer camp is free, including all academic expenses, along with room and board for the student, as well as a certain proportion of reimbursement over transportation to the Summer Camp (and transportation from the Summer Camp if enrolled as a graduate student of IMNST). All activities are supervised by faculty and staff members of and student volunteers.
